- I was looking for a new challenge, where I can learn new skills and expand my horizon

### Swiss Mile
|
|
[[Swiss Mile]] is a Zurich based Start Up (currently 15 employees, 25 by the end of the year), developing a wheeled-legged quadruped robot dog. They have recently received a $3.5M and $22M investment round.
|
|
|
|
#### Open Positions

- Senior Software Engineer - Robot Platform
|
|
- collab with wider team, interfacing hardware and software
|
|
- Senior Software Engineer - SLAM

- Senior Software Engineer - Field Deployment
|
|
- Senior AI Engineer - Computer Vision

All positions come with high growth and hopefully start a team around you.
|
|
Salary probably around CHF 95k-100k with additional stock options.
|
|

1. 20 minutes Call with Lorenz Wellhausen (CTO - Software) as well as a 20 minutes presentation specific to my CV.
|
|
2. Meal with the team.

## Reflection
|
|
- Sneaky way of asking for salary expectation: ask about the previous salary instead of your expectations.
|
|
- Like this I need to be honest: I don't want to lie
|
|
- "Thank you for the question. My previous role was quite unique in terms of responsibilities and compensation, and it doesn't align directly with the current market for this type of position. However, based on my research and the responsibilities of this role, I would expect a salary in the range of CHF 120k-140k. I'd be happy to discuss this further and find a mutually beneficial agreement."
