## Questions to Ask the Company

1. Tell me about the companies goals for this year?
|
|
Revenues or sales, dig into the goals, leads, head counts, customer retentions
|
|
2. How do you set goals at the company?
|
|
you're measured by your impact, understand inputs to this measurement. --> affects your entire career. Is the CEO or manager the one who sets goals? Do you have impact to setting goals? If you don't have influence over the goals you could be set up to fail without being able to adjust
|
|
3. How are the decisions made at the company? Top down? Or by data, e.g. by people on the ground, etc)?
|
|
4. Tell me about someone who's been successful at the company (who's been promoted)? What was their career trajectory at the company? What qualities made them successful? You want to understand what made them successful and then to copy them
|
|
5. Why do people leave the company? No company is perfect. What are disfunctions? Are they trying to cover up some things?
|
|
6. Tell me about your typical day? How much time in meetings, direct reports? Remote: coworkers meeting in real life |
