ABOUT THE POSITION:
|
||||
|
||||
This position will be within Fluence’s Data Science team, working on the Nispera Asset Performance Management (APM) platform. The platform monitors, analyzes, and optimizes the performance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewable energy assets, leveraging fully automated data acquisition and AI-driven computational algorithms. The role will be based in Fluence’s office in Zurich, Switzerland and will report to the Director of Data Science, also located in Zurich.

As a Data Scientist, you will contribute to and take the lead on data science projects for asset performance management, with a focus on BESS.Leveraging your expertise in statistics, mathematical optimization, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), you will develop data-driven models and analytics solutions that extract actionable insights from large datasets, delivering value to our customers. Additionally, you will assist in creating new reports that combine the model outputs with insightful visualizations, providing a clear and comprehensive overview of the assets.You will collaborate with product managers, other data scientists, and subject matter experts to align on technical requirements and work with software engineers to integrate the developed data science models into the Nispera platform.

Develop advanced analytics, metrics, KPIs, and alerts using operational data from batteries and renewable assets to evaluate performance and identify components with potential performance issues.

Build, train, and maintain ML / AI models for applications such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and predictive maintenance.
|
||||
|
||||
Assist in creating reports that use insightful visualizations to present the metrics and outputs of data-driven models, providing customers with a clear overview of their assets.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, build robust data-driven models, and ensure seamless integration into the Nispera platform.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, Mathematics) with 8+ years of professional experience in data science, data / software engineering, operations research, or related roles, preferably in the energy sector; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in these areas.

Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in scientific libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib).

|

Proficiency in statistical analysis, ML / AI models, and/or mathematical optimization.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for learning and tackling new technical challenges.

Nach dem Master in Maschinenbau an der ETH Lausanne fokussierte ich mich auf Herausforderungen in der autonomen Logistik. Bei OneSec bin ich ein wichtiger Bestandteil in der Entwicklung einer neuen Drohne, welche spezifisch für die Auslieferung von kleinen Paketen und Mahlzeiten benutzt wird. Dabei waren sowohl mechanische und elektrische Hardware Skills als auch die Softwareentwicklungskills wichtig. Wegen der Art vom Jungunternehmen war ich in verschiedenen Bereichen involviert, neben der technischen Entwicklung beschäftigte ich mich auch mit Teamleitung und dem Rekrutieren.

As a Robotics Engineer you will work on developing new robotic processes, and improve existing ones, for the automated handling of rebar. You will be responsible for full-stack development, from hardware and electronics to control software, perception and sensors, data-science and occasionally some hardware solutions. At MESH we aim to apply a data-driven approach to robotics.

**Qualifications**

- Degree in robotics, computer science or electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering
|
||||
- 2+ years of experience working in the field of robotics and/or software development (C/C++ and Python)
|
||||
- Proficient understanding of the building blocks comprising a robotics software stack such as state estimation, localization and mapping, navigation, motion planning, control, and simulation
|
||||
- Familiarity with relevant sensor modalities (IMU, LiDAR, cameras, etc) and actuation systems
|
||||
- Experience with data-science and machine-learning (classification, computer-vision, etc)

||||
- Experience deploying and debugging software on real robots or hardware systems

Dazu kommt das Gespräch mit [[Dannick]] [[2024-10-08|gestern Abend]], wo ich gemerkt habe, dass ich extrovertierter sein muss und einfach anfangen muss Sachen zu unternehmen. Ich muss anfangen mit Leuten zu reden und Selbstvertrauen haben. Ich muss Bescheiden genug sein zu sagen, dass ich gewisse Dinge nicht weiss, aber lernen möchte.
